IoT-Based Real Time Energy Management of Virtual Power Plant Using PLC for Transactive Energy Framework

The growing interest with the developments of renewable sources owing to less environmental pollution creates challenges for grid operators. Virtual Power Plant (VPP) is a novel concept that will integrate small distributed energy resources and act as single conventional power plant in electricity market. As core management system VPP, should be dispatched optimally achieving maximum profit. Therefore, smart developed this article VPP Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Internet Things (IoT) unified market environment integrates DA RT cost characteristics interruptible load, battery storage are modelled individually. PLC IoT based automation proposed optimal dispatch strategy VPP. scheme can efficiently handle demand domain. Four different scenarios considered loading conditions validation management. profitability each scenario shown experimental results.
